Darrell L. Carroll April 20, 1936 – October 04, 2021 Share this obituary Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook Darrell Lee Carroll departed this life on Monday, October 4, 2021 at the age of 85. He was born in Camden County, Missouri the son of Raymond and Delilah (West) Carroll. He accepted Christ as his Savior at the age of 21 and was a member of Faith Baptist Church at the time of his death. Darrell was united in marriage to Wilda Charlton on May 18, 1957. They have two children; a son Tony Carroll and a daughter Libby (Carroll) Walker. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Dustin Walker, Amanda McAfoos, Sara Camp, Paris Cole and Madison Carroll and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also left to mourn his passing are sister-in-laws Margaret Riley, Joyce Taylor and her husband Billy, brother-in-laws Bobby Charlton, Charles Charlton and his wife Penny, Tommy Charlton and his wife Connie, Jesse Charlton and his wife Lavonne and Carl Coffey, as well as many friends. Darrell worked for the Missouri Department of Conservation for over forty years retiring in 1998. After retirement he and his wife Wilda traveled a bit and saw most of the National Parks and other places of interest. He loved to play the guitar and sing. He was always laughing and joking with everyone. He loved his kids and grandkids and to tell them stories of back “when I was a kid.” He was a loving husband and father and will be sadly missed by all. Funeral Services for Darrell L. Carroll will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, October 8, 2021 at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw, Missouri. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow the funeral at the Little Niangua Cemetery in Preston, Missouri.
