Frank John Cuccia, Sr. September 7, 1931 – December 28, 2021 Share this obituary Send Flowers Upload Photo| Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Frank John Cuccia, Sr., 90, of Warren, passed away peacefully, Tuesday, December 28, 2021 in Woodville, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, December 31, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. with the Rosary at 7 p.m. at Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville. Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, January 1, 2022 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of the Pines Catholic Church with burial in Mt. Pisgah Cemetery all in Woodville. Officiating will be Father Ron Foshage and Deacon David Luther. Serving as pallbearers will be Carlo Prince, Kristian Prince, Frank J. Cuccia III, Joseph Cuccia, Maria Rosalina Cuccia and Vincent Cuccia. Honorary pallbearers will be Roberto Lopez, Jr., Kenneth Prince, Jr., Morris Matthews and Kelly Fountain. Frank was born September 7, 1931 to Sam and Lena Mondello Cuccia in Port Arthur, Texas. A native of Port Arthur, he attended Bishop Byrne High School and was a former resident of Nederland. He was a Franciscan Friar in Missouri for 5 years and then served his country in the U.S. Army during the Cold War. Frank met the love of his life, Mary Alice Decuir Cuccia and they married on November 30, 1957 and later moved to Warren in 1969. He also served in the Texas Army National Guard. He retired after 30 years as an operator from Arco in Port Arthur. He enjoyed gardening, picking figs, making wine, woodworking, cooking and making Rosaries. Frank would always say, “Getting old is not for sissies,” and “Family is everything.” He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Lena Cuccia; wife, Mary Alice Cuccia; daughters, Celena Marie Cuccia, Renée Andre Cuccia and Kathleen Cuccia Lopez; brothers, Jasper Cuccia, Joseph Cuccia and Nick Cuccia; and sisters, Josephine “Josie” Cuccia Ross, Mary Cuccia Tompkins and Angie Cuccia Savarino; and grandson, Joseph “Joe” Lopez. He is survived by his sons, Frank J. Cuccia, Jr. and wife, Lois of Warren and Phillip Cuccia and wife, Lenora of Carlisle, PA; daughter, Maureen Denise Cuccia of Sour Lake; brother, Anthony Cuccia of Port Arthur; sister-in-law, Loretta Cuccia of Nederland; grandchildren, Roberto Lopez, Jr., Carlo Prince, Kenneth Prince, Jr., Kristian Prince and fiancé Gabrielle Rhodes, Frank J. Cuccia, III, Joseph Cuccia, Vincent Cuccia, and Maria Rosalina Cuccia.
