Obituary Accepting the King’s invitation to the Banquet, Willie B. Robinson put on the garments of salvation and peacefully transitioned on April 13, 2020, at the age of 88, while residing at the Hallmark Living nursing facility in Benton Harbor, MI. Willie B. Robinson was born on June 6, 1931, in Wabash, Arkansas to John Otley and Clara Annebelle Spencer Archibald. She was the fourth of seven children. Willie B, affectionately called “Sister” by family and close friends, was baptized at an early age after accepting Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was united in Holy Matrimony to Sylvester Edwards Sr., on March 24, 1946, and to this union, seven children were born. Alice Lancaster of Chicago, IL – Sylvester Edwards Jr., of Benton Harbor, MI – John O. Edwards of Stevensville, MI – Evelyn Wilburn of Newark, NJ – James Edwards of Houston, TX – Steve Edwards of Benton Harbor, MI and Larry Edwards (unknown location). Honored by the institution of marriage for a second time, Willie B married Charles Bennett Robinson in 1983 and to that union, two children were born. Cassandra Edwards of Kalamazoo, MI, and Cheryl Edwards of Benton Harbor, MI. Willie B was a faithful member of the Greater Community Christian Fellowship Church lead by Pastor Nathaniel Wells III and her last place of employment before retirement was Modern Plastics Corporation. Both locations are in the Benton Harbor area. Preceding her in death were her parents, John, and Clara Archibald; her brothers, Willie (Bully) Horton, Johnny William Archibald, and her (twin) William Fletcher Archibald; her sisters, Effie G. Clay, Ozell Archibald, and Lucille Sanders; her husbands, Sylvester Edwards Sr. and Charles B. Robinson; her son, James Edwards, her daughter, Cheryl Edwards; and her grandson, Steven Ugene Gill. Willie B leaves to cherish her memory: four sons – Sylvester Edwards Jr., John O. Edwards, Steve Edwards, and Larry Edwards; three daughters – Alice Lancaster, Evelyn Wilburn, Cassandra Edwards; twenty-two grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren and scores of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
