William’s Obituary Mr. Bill Brown Mr. William Aubrey Brown, Sr., age 90, resident of De Queen, passed from this life on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at the CHRISTUS St. Michael Health System in Texarkana. Bill was one of seven children born to Commie O.D. and Lucile Jacobs Brown on March 13, 1930 in Longview, Texas. He faithfully served with the United States Army and was deployed overseas during the Korean Conflict. Bill married the love of his life, Jearldean Clayton, on June 2, 1956 in Longview, and to this union, six children were born. Bill worked many capacities to support his family. Some include: Frozen Food Locker in De Queen, City of De Queen Water Department and time spent as a City of De Queen Auxiliary Police Officer. Bill studied High Voltage Electricity in California and returned to Southwest Arkansas to serve as an Electrician for Weyerhaeuser Company, retiring after 20 years of service. Bill attended Lewis Temple Church of God in Christ and enjoyed playing dominos, but most of all, he cherished the time spent with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife of over 63 years, Jearldean Brown; one daughter, Regina Kay Brown; and three siblings, Prentice Brown, Hurie Brown and Ettie Mae Williams. Bill leaves to cherish his loving memory, two sons, William Brown, Jr. and Michael Brown, both of De Queen; three daughters, Patricia Brown and Elmyra Brown, both of De Queen, and Rhonda Brown Tucker and husband Michael of Seneca, South Carolina; six grandchildren, Derrick Whitmore (Latoria), Alisha Brown Williams (Ricky), Greg White (Lashayla), Andre Dade, Fantasia White and Michael S. Brown; eleven great-grandchildren, Kobi (Bree), Ashton, Aubrey, Ryann, Donyea, Madison, Trinity, Kylan, Journey, Greyson and Gavin; three sisters, Flora Pierce, Mamie Manus and Josephine Brown, all of Longview, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Hazel Brown of Longview, Texas and Dean Brown of Dos Palos, California; special friends, Charles Tramble, Michael Jackson, Martha Powell and Charles Keels; as well as, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Graveside Services for Mr. Bill Brown will be held at 1:00 P.M., Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Sand Hill Cemetery, De Queen, with Eld. Jerome Edwards and Bro. Kevin Brazil officiating.
