Obituary Walter Wesley Ford of Glenville, passed away on April 14, 2020 at the Sistersville Center in Sistersville, WV at the age of 73. He was born on June 29, 1946 in Shelby, OH to the late Dewey Franklin and Helen Irene Benedict Ford. Walter had served in the United States Marine Corp and fought in Vietnam. He was a muck train operator in the silver mines of Colorado and a tour bus driver for many years. Walter loved people and animals. He was particularly proud of his dog, Bandit. Quite frankly, his favorite hobby was talking and he would engage in conversations with many people as often as he could. He was a tv addict and enjoyed watching history, syfy or nature shows. Walter was a huge history buff and enjoyed his Bible reading. Walter recently became a member of the Glenville Seventh Day Adventist Church and was fond of his church family. Walter is survived by his wife, Anita O’Byrne Jones, Glenville; a stepson, John Jones and Rebecca, of OH; and his sister-in-law, Rita O’Byrne, MN. In addition to his parents, Walter was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Dewey Ford, UT and Kirk Benedict Ford, TX; mother in law, Avonne Nichols; and brother in law, Kenneth Allers.
