Walter’s Obituary Walter Perez Ybarbo (Ruben) age 96 of Dallas, Texas, was born on February 10, 1924 and went to be with his heavenly father on April 26, 2020 at home in Rowlett, Texas surrounded by family. He was born in Waco, Texas to Eusebio C. and Cecilia P. Ybarbo. Walter was proceeded in death by his wife of 70 years Florine Briseno Ybarbo, along with 2 daughters, Olga Y. Hernandez and Diane Salazar. Also proceeding him in death were his grandparents: Jesse and Brigett Ybarbo, parents: Eusebio and Cecilia Ybarbo, brothers – Jesse “Buster”, Jimmy, Paul and Peter Ybarbo. Sisters: Ruth Placencio, Mary Lois “Prieta” Padilla, Nora Rocha. He is survived by sisters: Sophia Y. Velasquez and Manuella “Nellie” Gong, Children: Marie Gonzalez, Walter Ybarbo Jr., Arthur B. Ybarbo, Barbara A. Aguilar, Larry W. Ybarbo, Ernest Ybarbo, Thomas Ybarbo, Paul Ybarbo and Ruth Ybarbo-Soliz along with 40 grandchildren, 77 great grandchildren, 60 great, great grandchildren and 1 GGGG grandchild as well as many nieces and nephews that considered him to be more than just an uncle to them. Walter served in the military during WW2 as a gunnery. He was a strong man of faith and an ordained minister that preached the gospel to all within ears reach. He was the Patriarch of the entire Ybarbo family and a father not only his own children but to many grandchildren, nephews and nieces. He worked hard throughout the years to provides for his family. He was a very proud man but showed so much love and compassion in his own way. He was a fighter and held strong until the very end of his journey.
