Virginia’s Obituary A resident of Amite, LA, passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at her home. She was born February 21, 1923 in Maui, HI and was 97 years of age. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Wade Carrier; 5 grandchildren, David Carrier, Jeremy Carrier, Shelly Carrier, Leslie Guilian, and Lee Yankie; and numerous great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, George Harold Carrier; daughter, Nevin Lisa Yankie; parents, Abel and Rose Marrero De Rego; brothers, Bobby, Morris, Sonny, Nelson, and Junier De Rego; sister, Rachel De Rego.
