Thomas G. Allen of Tavares, Florida. Tom was born in Lackawanna, New York April 26, 1932 to Mary and Harry Allen. Tom passed away on April 16, 2020 at home and he will be cremated with his ashes placed in a crypt at Lakeside Memory Gardens in Eustis, Florida. No ceremonies will be conducted at this time because of the virus. Tom was a Veteran of 5 years in the Army Signal Corps and served 30 years with the United States Department of Defense. With a total service extending to his Country 35 years. Thomas lived in Maryland until he retired in 1987 and then moved to Zephyrhills, Florida in 1988. He then moved to Sebastian, Florida in 2002 and then relocated to Tavares, Florida in 2008. He was married to his beloved wife, Madelon Elaine Allen for 60 years. He has a Son, Thomas who lives in Sebastian, Florida and Cathy and Jim Cordner of Lewes, Delaware. Cathy was Thomas’s close cousin and enjoyed spending time when he could get together throughout the years. In his early days, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and nature. Later in life he also enjoyed his street rods and participated in car shows. He was a member of ANVETS Post 1992 and he loved their lunches. He was a man with a daily sweet tooth and loved desserts.
