Bursack, 71, formerly of Wichita, died Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at the Kansas Veterans Home, Winfield, Kansas. Terry was born December 14, 1948 in Winfield, Kansas to Earl Arthur Bursack and Daisy Mae (Kellogg) Bursack. He grew up in Winfield and was a graduate of Winfield High School. Terry began his military career in April of 1969 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. He proudly served his country and was stationed in Vietnam and Germany. He later entered the U. S. Air Force in April of 1985 and eventually worked in logistics at McConnell Air Force Base in Wichita, Kansas. Terry was honorably discharged due to medical reasons in the summer of 1987. He had been a resident of the Kansas Veterans Home for the past 9 years. Terry was united in marriage to Jackie Ann Wamsley on November 25, 1978 in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Conway Springs, Kansas and to this union two daughters were born: Andrea and Megan. The family made their home in Wichita, Kansas. Jackie was killed following a fall from a horse on July 9, 1986. Terry was also preceded in death by his parents and one sister Wanda Harris. He is survived by his two daughters: Andrea Hays and Megan Bocanegra both of Wichita, Kansas; one brother Jack Bursack of Winfield, Kansas and four grandchildren: Ava, Jacob, Kate and Michael. A private Memorial Graveside Service will be conducted at a later date. A memorial has been established to the Kansas Veterans Home. Ebersole Mortuary, Conway Springs.
