Obituary Teresa Cerminaro, 93, passed away on April 6th, 2020. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Teresa was a long time resident of Deer Park, NY. Beloved daughter of Frank and Frances Arena and the sister of Nicholas Arena, Antoinette Tricarick, Victoria Scandale and Carmela Petrone. She was the beloved wife of Anthony. Loving and devoted mother and mother in law of John and Judy, Sam and Dawn. The grandmother of Kim, Kristin and Rachel and beloved great grandmother of Grace, Braydon and Lucy. Besides being a home maker Teresa, spent a good amount of years working as seamstress for the International Ladies Garment Workers Union, ILGWU, Remember the theme song “Look for the union label?” Teresa enjoyed cooking and eating Italian food, listening to Sinatra and Humperdinck and most of all being around her family on the holidays. After her beloved husband Anthony died in 2007, Teresa remained in her home and was quite self-sufficient up until 2018. Once no longer stable on her feet Teresa spent the last two years at Island Nursing and Rehab Home where she never once complained and never wanted to be a burden on anyone, she was a true hero in her sons eyes! Sharp as a tack and tuff as nails. She will be so missed until one day when we are all together once again. A memorial mass will take place at another date and there will be no celebration afterwards, this was always one of mom’s pet peeves and we will honor her wishes.
