Mrs. Suzanne “Sue” Adkisson of Fayetteville passed away April 22, 2020. Sue was preceded in death by her son, George Matthew Adkisson, parents Homer H. and Ruby (Tankersley) Jackson, sister Jane Madden, brother Homer H. Jackson, Jr., and is survived by her husband of 60 years, George H. Adkisson of Fayetteville; daughter, Iris Harris and her husband, John of Fayetteville; son, Steve Adkisson and his wife, Joy of McDonough; grandchildren, Phillip Harris and his wife, Gaela, George Harris, Keeley Adkisson, Alana Adkisson, Amelia Adkisson; great grandchildren, Tripp Harris and Quinn Harris. Sue was born in the Pleasant Hill community of Ellijay, Georgia in 1940 and graduated from Brown High School in Atlanta in 1957. Due to current public health concerns a private graveside service for immediate family will be held at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Ellijay, Georgia.
