Steven Ray Fields, 61 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 4, 2020. Born Saturday, May 10, 1958 in Lexington, Missouri, he was the son of the late Jerome Haynes and Mable (Ms. Kitty) Jackson. Stevie attended high school in Higginsville. He worked most of his life for Conagra Foods in Marshall, Missouri as a machine operator. Steven was a member of the St. Paul Baptist Church in Higgisville. Stevie enjoyed lawn care. You would often see him driving all over town on his mower taking care of his customers’ yard work. He loved fishing and playing pool. Stevie loved spending time with his kids and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by many. Surviving are his mother Mable Jackson of the home; three sons Kenyatte Boldridge of Independence, MO, Jamal Fields of Atlanta, GA and Kedrick Sheperd of Columbia, MO; two daughters, Rashaun Fields of Lees Summit, MO and Trula Carter of Atlanta, GA; one sister, Sherry (Floyd) Elmore of Kansas City, MO; one uncle, Willie Fields; two aunts, Clara (Amiel) Haynes, and Ruth (Wilburn) Woods. Due to a total lose from the house fire, memorials may be sent to Hoefer Funeral Home to help with expenses, 1600 Main St. Higginsville, MO 64037. A private funeral service will be held with burial in the Higginsville City Cemetery.
