Steven D. Nelson, 65, of Fargo, ND, passed away at home on Thursday, April 2, 2020. Steve was born July 24, 1954, in Mayville, ND. He grew up in Glyndon, MN, where he graduated from high school. Following high school, Steve continued his education at Concordia College in Moorhead where he received degrees in Accounting and Religion and minored in Political Science. Steve then moved to St. Louis Park, MN, where he worked in accounting. Over the next several years, his passion in reading motivated him to change his career path. He studied to become a librarian at the University of Minnesota. Steve found a position in Indiana, where he enjoyed the next several years. In his spare time, he also enjoyed sports and keeping up with current events. Steve moved back to the Fargo Moorhead area where he most recently resided. He will be greatly missed. Steve is survived by his parents, Truman Nelson and Phyllis Nelson; brothers, Kevin (Nancy), Brad (Dawn); and nieces and nephews, Erica (Steve) Muse, Tyler (Talia) Nelson, Kristina (Ryan) Fabre, Kelli (Cody) Griffin and Kalynn Nelson. A memorial service will be held at Wright Funeral Home in Moorhead at a later date.
