Obituary FROSTBURG- Shirley May Loar, 89, of Frostburg passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. Born November 4, 1930 in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Gilbert Lewis and Mabel M. (Cordes) Lewis. She is preceded in death by her husband Glenn J. Loar, and sister Mary Margaret Lewis. Shirley was a member of Vale Summit United Methodist Church. She had worked at Workman’s Laundromat, and worked at FSU in the Housekeeping Dept. Shirley enjoyed traveling and visited many places on bus trips. She is survived by son, Glenn J. Loar and wife Debra and daughter, Linda K. Crosten and husband Gary grandchildren, Brent Crosten , Garrett Crosten and wife, Tara, Shane Crosten and wife, Emily, Tony Spiker and wife Jen, and Chrissie Spiker and special friend Jesse, and nine great-grandchildren, brothers Charles Lewis , Richard Lewis and wife Pat ; and Robert Lewis and wife Becky ; and sisters, Margaret Sanders and Martha Albanese and husband John. Services will be private. Interment will be in Restlawn Memorial Gardens. Donations may be made to Sowers Funeral Home to help with the funeral expenses.
