Obituary Ruth Lucille “Lucy” Carter, 87 year old resident of Grove, Oklahoma, passed away on March 29, 2020 at the Grove Nursing Center. Lucy was born on August 14, 1932 in Sikeston, Missouri. She was the daughter of Robert Floyd Gwaltney and Mary Ruby (Campbell) Breiler. Lucy enjoyed traveling, as long as it didn’t involve a plane. Lucy liked going back to her home town to visit family and trips to Las Vegas. She was pretty good at playing slots. Lucy had a green thumb when it came to her house plants and her garden. Lucy enjoyed life and loved to laugh. Lucy was the Manager for the Honey Creek Motel for several years. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents and two children; Terry Moore and Jeffery Carter. She is survived by her three children; Don Davidson and wife Sherri of San Diego, CA, Bob Davidson of Daytona Beach, FL and Michael Carter of Jay, OK, three siblings, Ace, Jimmy and Sue. Lucille was blessed with six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove, Oklahoma.
