Ruby’s Obituary Ruby Woods (nee Mason), 88, of Elyria, died April 20, 2020 at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center. She was born March 11, 1932 in Pineville, KY and has been a 60 year resident of Elyria. She had been employed at General Motors Fisher Body, Elyria from where she retired. After retiring, she was a babysitter for several families. Ruby was a member of St. Mary Church, Elyria. She enjoyed attending yard sales, flea markets, and was an excellent cook. Ruby is survived by a daughter, Patty Woods; sons, Daryl (Linda) Woods and Larry (Michele) Woods all of Elyria; five grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Ricky in 2013; her mother, Effie Lee Shelton and a brother, Ernie Shelton. Friends will be received Thursday April 23, 2020 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Dicken Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria where coronavirus guidelines will be practiced. A graveside service will be 11:00 am Friday April 24, 2020 in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Township with Reverend Charles T. Diedrick officiating. Read More
