Ronnie Lee White of Elizabethton was born June 17, 1946 to T.A. White and Lola Asher. Ronnie died April 17, 2020 after a lengthy illness. He died at home surrounded by his wife and two daughters. Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents and his youngest daughter, Misty L. Guy; a sister-in-law, Pauline Arnold and a brother-in-law, Jack Berry. Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 51 years, Betty White of the home; his daughters, Tammy Taylor and her husband David, Candy White; a sister, Diana Campbell; grandchildren, Brandon Taylor and his fiancé, Austin Williams, Emma Taylor and Mason Light; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Kaine, and Ridge Taylor. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Ronnie worked as a General Foreman and Training Instructor for Flour Daniels Construction for 25 years before retiring from TN Tech. Center as the Millwright Instructor. He took pride in his job, because he enjoyed teaching young men and women, but specifically helping them get a job in the construction industry. He enjoyed watching the UT Vols, fishing and watching Emma play basketball. His pride and joy was his grandchildren and his great-grandchildren, all of whom he spent special moments with until his death. He was a member of Moore’s Chapel Freewill Baptist Church. Friends may call at Tetrick Funeral Home of Elizabethton on Monday, April 20, 2020 from 11:00AM- 6:00PM to sign the guest register book. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at 2:00PM in the Pearl Bowers Cemetery. Everyone attending is requested to meet at the cemetery at 1:50PM. The service will be officiated by Reverend Nick Colbaugh and Reverend Rex Johnson. Music will be delivered by Chelsea Grubb. Pallbearers are Brandon Taylor, David Taylor, Mason Light, Mark Light, Scott Guy and Waco Davis. Honorary pallbearers are Norm Vazelow, Dana Brown, Beryl Miller, Chad Ellis, Dana Carden, Ronnie Hicks, Flour Daniels Construction, TN Tech. Center of Elizabethton. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Teresa Newberry, LaToya Perry, Tracey Roman, Princeton Rehab Center and Amedisys Hospice for their care and support. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in honor of Ronnie.
