Sympathies message

  1. Condolances
But I see several mistakes on this obituarie.
Firstly JJ (Brania) Hopp was not Bobs biological son only his step son with possibly a name change. And John Ventres is Bobs biological son with just a legal name change.
Additionally Bob never served 2.5 tours in Vietnam first of all he didnt go in the Navy until 1969 when he was 19 and completed boot camp and then when the war was over and all troops were pulled out it was in 1973. So he only served 1 tour 4 years not 10 yrs.
Additionally he never ever had a Navy abdomon wound, and was never given a Purple Heart. His job in the Navy was a rigging and ammo crew his Navy injury was the replacement of 6 inches of his low back from a fall down a ladder on board ship after an ammo explosion the injury accured from the impact on the metal stair well and steel ship floor after falling 30 ft from that explosion. As to the abdomin injury it was not anything to do with a Navy injury, but the result of a demestic fight were he was beating his wife in a domestic rage, while she was holding their son (John) protecting him from his blows and he was stabbed in an attempt to get him off of the wife and child.
