Richard Alan Oney July 09, 1956 – April 17, 2020 Share this obituary Send Flowers View/Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card Richard Alan Oney, 63, of McArthur, passed away Friday, April 17, 2020, at Adena Regional Medical Center in Chillicothe. He was born July 9, 1956, in Logan, Ohio, son of the late Adam and Eva Smith Oney. Alan was married to Donna Martin Oney, who survives. He was a self-employed heavy equipment operator and a member of the McArthur Eagles. Alan was a fun-loving hard-working man who adored his large and loving family. He was immensely proud of and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Words fail to express all this man was and always will be in his family’s hearts. Your family will always love you “Grandpa O”. In addition to his wife Donna, Alan is survived by his son, Richard Alan (Caleigh) Oney II of McArthur; daughters, Julie (John) Timms of McArthur, Carrie (Jeremy) Ward of McArthur, Tracey Rudy of Sebring, Florida and Melody (Seth Faith) Graves of Upper Arlington; eleven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald (Junie) Oney of McArthur, Larry (Sandy) Oney of The Plains and Adam Oney of Napa, California; sister, Regina (Dennis) Golden of Danville, California; several nieces, nephews and young people whose lives he touched. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant grandson, Shon Michael Bobb and sisters, Vera Lou Oney and Sharon Redarowicz. A private graveside service will be held in the Conley Family Cemetery, Vinton County, with Pastor Carl Radcliff officiating. No calling hours will be observed.
