Paul Anthony Smart July 6, 1972 – April 12, 2020 Graveside services for Paul Smart will be held on Friday, April 17, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Hooker Ridge Cemetery in Lone Oak, Texas. Mr. Smart passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at Freestone Medical Center in Fairfield. Paul Anthony Smart was born on July 6, 1972 in Alexandria, LA. He graduated from high school in Alexandria and then moved to Lone Oak, TX. He moved to Teague in 2013. Paul was a truck driver all of his working life; hauling rock, cattle and oil field equipment. He was currently employed with Duane Livingston Trucking Co. He loved working outside, working on his trucks, and enjoyed watching wrestling. Mr. Smart is survived by his wife, Angie Laxston of Teague; three children, Kristen Haynes, Taylor Laxston, Scotty Smart, and Harley Laxston; one granddaughter, Brentie Laxston; his mother, Mickey Young; his step-mother, Wanda Smart; five siblings, Kenneth Smart, Jr. Ginger Zada, Chris Smart, Nicole Henry, and Brett Smart. He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Smart, Sr. Please exercise the CDC’s guidelines to prevent the spread of COVID-19 if you attend this service.
