Nancy Arlene (Hunter) McIntosh 10-10-1955 to 4-11-2020 Nancy was born in Council Bluffs, IA to Harry Charles Hunter Sr. and Anna Mae (Chapin) Hunter on October 10, 1955. She was the only girl and youngest of six siblings. She grew up in the Assemblies of God Church and loved God and her family more than anyone could ever know! Through her life she was revered as many things including: a caring daughter, a loving wife, a devoted mother, a kind sister, an amazing grandmother (Nana / granny) and honorary family to many! She was of the graduating class of 1973 at Thomas Jefferson High School of Council Bluffs Iowa and was a member of Future Nurses of America. Her dream job at this point was to become a veterinarian. Through her life Nancy did an array of work with the church and loved working with the youth. In her younger years she worked in the dietary departments of nursing homes until she completed schooling to become a beautician at this point she worked for Dee’s Beauty Barn of Council Bluffs Iowa until she began her favorite job of becoming a full time mother. She is survived in death by: her husband, Roger Alan McIntosh, of Horton Kansas; her daughters, MaeBelle Marie McIntosh, of Sequim Washington and Elaine Elizabeth Ann (McIntosh) Moore and her husband Anthony Moore, of Hiawatha Kansas; her son, Benjamin Charles McIntosh and his husband William Jesse Snyder of Michigan Valley Kansas; her brother, Harry Charles Hunter and his wife Rosetta Louise (Lawson) Hunter of Calico Rock Arkansas; her step- mother, Barbara June (Jeffers) Hunter of Harbor City (Los Angeles) California, and four grand children, Abarie Anne Nicole McIntosh, Autum Rosealean Moore, Braxton Alynn Moore, and Callie RubyAnn Moore. And plethora of of relatives in-law, nieces and nephews and many honorary family members She was preceded in death by: Her father, Harry Charles Hunter Sr, of Harbor City (Los Angeles) California; her mother Anna Mae (Chapin) Hunter of Council Bluffs Iowa: her brothers, Bennie Frank Hunter of Council Bluffs Iowa, Roger Lee Hunter and Lester Carl Hunter, Donald Jay Hunter of San Francisco California; and several aunts and uncles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Nancy McIntosh Memorial Fund sent in care of the funeral home. No services are planned at this time with the Chapel Oaks Funeral Home, Hiawatha.
