Obituary Kelly-Erbe, Mary A. Mary “Sue” Anna Theresa Erbe Kelly age 80 of Pasadena MD passed away Monday 4/20/2020. She was born July 23, 1939 in Baltimore MD. Daughter to Charles Hammerbacker Sr and Mary Russo. Mary is survived by her children Wilmer G Erbe Jr, Lori Hedges, and Michelle Kelly (preceded in death). Preceded in death are her beloved first husband Wilmer G Erbe and beloved second husband Joseph Kelly. Grandchildren Samantha Kasper, Lauren Wheatley, Ryan Erbe, Rachel Erbe, Alexandria Hedges, Jimmy Hedges, and Meagan Kelly. Beloved brother Darrell Hammerbacker, and preceded in death Charles Hammerbacker Jr. and John Hammerbacker. Mary is survived by MANY family members including cousins, neices, nephews, Godchildren and friends that will greatly miss her. Mary was a hard working woman who retired from Yellow Freight and Secretary Treasurer of the Teamsters Union Local 557. She loved to cook and feed anyone who would come to her home as any hospitable Italian matriarch would. Her greatest pride was her family and she will be greatly missed. “Don’t think of her as gone away, Her journeys just begun. Life holds so many facets, This Earth is only one. Just think of her as resting, From the sorrow and the tears In a place of warmth and comfort Where there are no days and no years. Think how she must be wishing That we could know today, How nothing but our sadness Can really pass away. And think of her as living In the hearts of those she touched, For nothing loved is ever lost, And she was loved so much. ” A private visitation will be held at Gonce Funeral Service P. A. on Saturday April 25, 2020. Interment will be held in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Celebration of life to be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers Mary asks that a donation be made to St Jude or Baltimore Washington medical center. God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be. So He put His arms around you and whispered “Come to Me.” With tearful eyes we watched you, and saw you pass away. Although we loved you dearly, We could not make you stay. Your golden heart stopped beating, Your hard working hands to rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us, He only takes the best. Please feel free to express your condolences on her tribute wall.
