Obituary Bennettsville Mr. Marvin Kenney Cope, Jr. passed away Monday, April 13, 2020 after an illness. He was 86 years old. Mr. Marvin was born in Hamlet, NC on November 8, 1933 to the late Marvin Kenney, Sr. and Lula Mae Stevens Cope. He attended Smyrna United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the National Guard, and a Mill Rite. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and raising animals. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory; son, Alvin York; 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; nephews, Rocky Brown (Mary) and Kenney Boone; nieces, Paige McMillian (Scott), Sandra Burley, Edna Earl Myrick, and Carla Thompson. He was preceded in death by his parents listed above, sisters, Sarah Boone, Jeanette C. Brown, Vera Thompson. A private graveside service will be held 3pm Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials are suggested to Marlboro Humane Society, 229 AG Street, Bennettsville, SC 29512.
