Margie Lou Marie (nee Downard) Parker, of West Harrison, IN passed away on April 5, 2020 at the age of 92. She was born on March 27, 1928, in Harrison, Ohio to Clifford and Louise (nee Lyttle) Downard. She graduated from William Henry Harrison High school and went on to graduate from the Deaconess Hospital College of Nursing. She retired from Fort Hamilton Hughes Hospital in 1996 after a long nursing career. Margie loved to travel, loved history and never saw a book she didn’t want to read. She was an outstanding cook, and was that Mom who did anything she could the help her children. She was kind, loving, compassionate, patient,and understanding. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard W. Parker; parents: Clifford and Louise (nee Lyttle) Downard, and siblings: Denver, Jimmy, Allen “Wayne” Downard and Mary Washmuth. Survivors include her loving children: Gregory (Connie) Parker, Gary (Lucy) Parker, Diane (Michael) Vaught, James M. (Connie S.) Parker, Lisa (Ed) Brater; cherished grandchildren: Jeremiah Lawhorn, Justin Vaught, Jennifer Britt, Clint Followell, Jimmy Parker, Seth Parker, Rachel Ford, Danielle Harris, Ashley Brater, Kyle Parker, Benjamin Parker, Eddie Brater, Mariah McDougal & Blake Parker; dear great grandchildren: Jade Vaught, Parker Lawhorn, Kayden Followell, Brody Ford, Levi Runck, Hudson McDougal, Khloe Parker & Conrad Britt. She is also survived by her siblings: Clifford Downard and Rhonda Huff and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family.
