LOUVENA’s Obituary LOUVENA MARYBELL MAYES GLASS, or “Ma Glass” to many, age 89, of Winchester, Tenn., departed this life on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at her residence following an extended illness. Ms. Glass was born in Knoxville, Tenn., on January 17, 1931, to the late Thomas Luther “T.L.” Mayes and Ora Louvena Bailey Mayes. Ms. Glass was a member of the Winchester First United Methodist Church. She was a Registered Nurse and was the Supervising Nurse at the former Franklin County Nursing Home from its opening until her retirement after 30 years. She will be remembered as a very dedicated nurse who loved her profession. She was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. In addition to her parents, Ms. Glass was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Leonard E. Glass and great-granddaughter, Sabrina Glass. She is survived by her son, Gary Glass of Florida, daughters; Sandy Davis and husband, Randy and Tere Anderson and husband, Dr. Jerry Anderson all of Winchester. Grandchildren; Katlynn Davis of Winchester, Megan Turner and husband, John of Huntsville, Ala., Jacqulyn Glass of Florida and Logan Glass of Winchester, and 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, April 28, 2020, at Franklin Memorial Gardens with Pastor Steve Angus, officiating. Interment will follow beside her beloved husband, Leonard at Franklin Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made in Ms. Glass’ memory to one of the following; Winchester First United Methodist Church, 100 S.
