Katherine “Kathy” Loraine Griffin, 84, of Bloomington passed away Monday, April 20, 2020 at Autumn Hills in Bloomington. Kathy was the daughter of Loren Drake and Thelma Drake born June 24th,1935 of Bloomington. Kathy was a busy, outspoken woman with goals. She wrapped herself in strength and carried herself with confidence. Kathy worked hard for her sons. She was employed by Cook Incorporated in Bloomington, where she earned awards for her prefect attendance. Kathy was the wife of Ken Griffin. The couple loved the warmth and spent a portion of their lives living in Florida’s sunshine. Kathy continued her career at a factory in Florida, where she actually retired from twice. She eventually returned to Indiana to be with her family whom she loved. Kathy love the outdoors. She enjoyed gardening, fishing and mushroom hunting. Kathy also spent her spare time painting. She had a funny sense of humor and wasn’t afraid to give you her honest opinion, even if you didn’t want it. She will be missed dearly her sisters Connie Hardin, Doris Swearingen , Nancy Tumey, and Charlotte Kay Fuller, her son Micheal Pedro, her step daughter Diane Griffin, her daughter-in-law Pam Pedro, her grandchildren, Cristene Smith, Heather Hernandez, Angela Goggans, Jenna Ayres and Jeff Griffin and her great grandchildren, Riley Smith, Lillian Maxwell, Daylen Goggans and Jessa Ayres. Kathy was preceded in death by her husband Ken, her parents, her siblings, her sons Chuck and Jim Pedro, and her infant baby Pedro and her stepson Micheal Griffin. Kathy will be laid to rest with her belated husband Ken Griffin at Valhalla Memory Gardens. Allen Funeral Home and Crematory have been entrusted with arrangements.
