Obituary John P. Alvarez of St. Charles, died Wednesday, April 1, 2020. He was 78 years of age. John was born August 16, 1941 in Zilwaukee, MI to the late Jesses and Gertrude (Walters) Alvarez. He was united in marriage to Bonnie Guthrie on December 17, 1960. John retired from Saginaw Grey Iron in 2004 and was a member of the UAW. He loved farming, hunting and being outdoors. Surviving are wife, Bonnie; sons: Phillip (Colleen) Alvarez of St. Charles, Bryan Alvarez of Chesaning, Louie Alvarez of Marion, and John Alvarez Jr. of Marion; daughter, Emily Alvarez of Brant; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; sisters: Erma (Dick) Erdman of Chesaning and Rosie (Randy) Good of Marion; sister-in-law, Esther Alvarez of Chesaning; many nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a son, Kevin, in 2017; brothers, Wally and Jessie; and a sister, Elaine Frost. Memorial services will be held at a later date.
