Obituary John M. Burkholder, 76, Vaughns Grove-Fairview Road, Hopkinsville, KY, died Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at his home of natural causes. A private family service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2020. Burial will be in Meadow Valley Mennonite Church Cemetery. Lamb Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements. A native of Earl Township, New Holland, Pennsylvania, he was born April 4, 1946, the son of the late Eli O. Burkholder and the late Hettie Ann Martin Burkholder. He was a farmer and a member of Meadow Valley Mennonite Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Rhoda Burkholder; his sister, Esther Hurst; and 2 grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Anna N. Burkholder, Hopkinsville, KY; his sons, Willis (Louise) Burkholder, Hopkinsville, KY, Edwin (Esther Mae) Burkholder, Pembroke, KY, John (Rhoda) Burkholder Jr., Elkton, KY; his daughters, Mrs. Leon (Lovella) Sauder, Liberty, KY, Mrs. Marlin (Alma) Sauder, Center, CO, Mrs. David (Anna) Weaver, Elkton, KY, Mrs. John Daniel (Esther) Zimmerman, Hopkinsville, KY; his brothers, Daniel Burkholder, Mifflinburg, PA, Alvin Burkholder, East Petersburg, PA, Aaron Burkholder, Lewisburg, PA, Paul Burkholder, Narvon, PA, Noah Burkholder, Dundee, NY; his sisters, Edna Ringler, Penn Yan, NY, Elizabeth Shirk, Shiloh, OH; 58 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
