Jean Schroeder joined her heavenly father on April 21, 2020. She was a much-loved Mother, Sister, Aunt, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and friend. She was born on May 15, 1928, in Detroit, MI. and is survived by her four children; Ron (Becky) Schroeder, Doug (Kathy) Schroeder, Nancy (Kip) Roche and Kathy (Paul) Torno. Her six grandchildren also survive her; Lisa (Dan) Heermance, Eric (Sarah) Schroeder, Amy (Jason) Tally, Jim Schroeder, Nicole (Justin) Wilson, and Natalie Roche, and her nine great-grandchildren. Jean was proceeded in death by her parents; Jessie and Tessie Williamson, Sisters; Aileen Palma, Nellie Cannon, Willie Mae (Billy) Kray and brothers; Frank, James, Robert, and Carl Williamson. Jean Schroeder worked for the Royal Oak School District for twenty-seven years, five years at Lockman Elementary School, and twenty-two years as a Media Technician at Starr Elementary School. She was also a PTA member and volunteer for the Royal Oak School District for 45 years. Jean loved to dance and sing and knitted or crocheted countless lap robes, baby blankets, afghans, hats, scarfs, and dishcloths as gifts or for those in need. She dedicated her life to her family, friends, and many kids, teachers, and volunteers at Lockman and Starr schools. She loved children and enjoyed working with them and helping them in any way she could. She had a big warm smile for everyone and knew no strangers. Jean worked tirelessly caring for all her loved ones, so many people depended on her, and she never let them down. She touched so many lives with her big heart, encouragement, and love. She will be greatly missed. Due to the Coronavirus crisis, there will be a memorial service at a later date in Troy, Michigan.
