Obituary SARRO, James Sr. In Saugus, formerly of East Boston, April 19, 2020. Beloved husband of the late Jean E. (Colucci). Devoted and loving father of Ronald and his wife Denise of Saugus, James Jr. and his wife Sheila of Winthrop, Susan and her husband Michael Doucette of Peabody, Janet and her husband Richard Gonzalez of Saugus. Grandfather of Heather, Melissa, Stacey, Rebecca, Kimberly, Amanda, Michael, Angel “AJ” and the late James III. Great-grandfather of Destiny, Matthew, Christopher, Carly, Evelyn, Finn, Millie, Damien and Carter. Brother of the late Josephine O’Brien, Carmen, Frank, Mary and Joseph Sarro. Brother-in-law of Geraldine and Frank Quarantiello of East Boston. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jim worked for many years as a Park and Recreations supervisor for the City of Boston and held many diverse jobs to keep himself occupied in his retirement. Veteran U.S. Air Force Korean Conflict. Due to restrictions in place during the COVID pandemic by the CDC, Dept. of Public Health and the Archdiocese of Boston all services are private at this time.
