James’ Obituary James Las 65 a resident of Sturtevant passed away suddenly on April 4, 2020. James was one of the strongest men many of us knew. He was a carpenter by trade, but he enjoyed crafting knives, working with leather, fishing, and hunting. One of his greatest enjoyments was bringing old vehicles back to life. James had an endless amount of knowledge, always had wise words to share with us, sometimes laced with his witty sarcasm, other times no words at all, he just gave you an ear to bend for a while. “One day at a time” was often his advice and now we are all struggling one day at a time without him. He touched many lives in his time here. You were taken too soon from all of us. James is survived by his brother Allan Las and his sister Carol (Bodo) Nemec. His children Nickola (Tracey) Raditz, Jessica (Ted) Callow, Carrie (Paul) Las, and James Daniel Las. His Grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents Ed and Stephanie Las. At this time we have to put a hold on any kind of service. We will be holding a celebration of life when the world allows us to come together again. Read More
