James A. “Jim” Moats May 19, 1941 – April 29, 2020 Share this obituary Send Sympathy Gifts Sign Guestbook| Send Sympathy Card| Memorial Donation James A. “Jim” Moats age 78 of Russellville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at the Medical Center in Bowling Green. He was born in Frankfort, Kentucky on May 19, 1941 to the late Powell P. and Novice Julian (Simpson) Moats. Jim retired from Electrolux and is a member of the Dripping Spring Baptist Church. He is preceded by his wife Jo Ann Blick Moats and a two sisters Nancy M. Cox and Frances Bryant. He is survived by his: Two sons James “Jim” Moats (Peggy) of Nunnelly, Tennessee, and Steven Moats (Dawn) of Knoxville, Tennessee, two daughters Sheryl Moats of Russellville and Kim Dunn (Chris) of Auburn, one brother William “Billy” Cox of Waco, Kentucky, three sisters Ann Hancock of Frankfort, Starr Hancock of Georgetown and Jenne Hancock of Frankfort, 19 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. Private Graveside services for Jim Moats will be conducted with Bro. Donnie Blick officiating at Dripping Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
