Henry’s Obituary Henry George Moebius Jr., passed from this life on Sunday, April 19, 2020 in Pawnee, OK. Henry was born on November 9, 1929 to Laura Lucille (Weldon) and Henry George Moebius Sr. in Stillwater, OK. Growing up in Yale, Henry attended Battle Ridge elementary, which was a one room schoolhouse. Henry moved into Quay schools and graduated with the 1948 class. Upon graduating, Henry attended Oklahoma State University for one year before being drafted in the United States Army. While in the Army, Henry served basic at El Paso, Texas and finished at White Sands Proving Grounds testing missiles. After being honorably discharged, Henry returned to Stillwater to earn his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics. On August 28, 1959, Henry married the love of his life, Bessie Dilley and had one loving child, Eugene. Henry farmed and worked for O.S.U. from 1969 until 1992. While at OSU, Henry worked in the postal office and later became the last Postmaster OSU had on staff. Throughout Henry’s life he had many hobbies, which had to be outdoors: farming, fishing, hunting, and travelling. His greatest achievement in life was his family, spending time with his son and grandkids. Henry is survived by his wife of 60 years, Bessie Moebius of the home; one son, Eugene Moebius and wife Traci of Maramec; grandchildren, Billy Bigelow and wife, Jessica and family of Stillwater, Kayla Riden and husband, Joe and family of Stillwater, Michaella Moebius of Yale; one brother, Gordon Moebius and wife, Minnie Carol of Duncan; three nieces, Susan Moebius Henderson, Debra Moebius Handy, and Christy Brooks Burgess. Henry is preceded in death by his parents, Henry George Moebius Sr., and Laura Lucille (Weldon) Moebius; one brother, Donald Lee Moebius and one sister, Janice Sue Brooks. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale. Due to restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 gathering size mandate, Funeral Services will be held privately for immediate family only. The funeral will be live streamed on the Yale Assembly of God facebook page on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Viewing for visitors will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 23, 2020 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Yale within the restriction of no more than 10 people gathering.
