Obituary Guadalupe (Lupe) Guajardo of Hobbs, New Mexico passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020. She was born on May 19, 1939 in Las Cruces, New Mexico to Julian and Elisa Perez. She married Timoteo (Tim) Guajardo on July 26, 1963 in Carlsbad, New Mexico and they maintained a loving and faithful marriage for 41 years. Lupe worked at St. Helena Catholic School for 25 years and was also a faithful and devoted member of St. Helena Catholic Church. Lupe is survived by two sons, Danny Guajardo and wife Rachel of Hobbs, Gilbert Guajardo and wife Gracie of Hobbs, one daughter Teresa Rendon of Hobbs, 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren with 1 on the way. She has 5 brothers and 5 sisters and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tim, parents, Julian and Elisa, sisters, Cuca Fierro, Virginia Madrid, Delfina Chavarria and Geneva Perez and brother, Greg Perez. A private funeral mass will be held at St. Helena Catholic Church on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 with limited attendees due to social distancing measures in place as a result of the Coronavirus. Burial will be a Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, Hobbs, NM. Pallbearers for the service will be Tim Rendon, Jaime Rendon, Able Rodriguez, Nikolas Rodriguez, Jeremy Guajardo and Xavier Trevino. Lupe enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, cleaning and cooking for her family. She was a loving wife, patient mother, and generous grandmother. We love you and will miss you dearly.
