Obituary of Glen Dale Maxwell A memorial service for Glen Dale Maxwell, 80, of Bridgeport, Texas will be 2:00 pm Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home in Bridgeport, officiated by Bro. Melvin Castleberry. Glen passed away Thursday, April 9 at home after a five-year battle with cancer. He was born in Saint Jo, Texas on June 30, 1939 to Clifford and Dorothy (Agee) Maxwell, and had lived in Bridgeport for many years. He married Mary Dalphine Kenyon in Bridgeport on October 3, 1987. Glen worked as a truck driver for FedEx for 30 years until his retirement in 2015. He was a man with nine lives and had overcome multiple accidents and health issues and bounced back each time. He was a man of good strong character, and had an easy, honest smile. He always found the good in people and never met a stranger. A man of varied interests and talents, Glen loved to fish and made the best fried catfish that friends and family will miss forever. In fact, he just loved to cook, period. He enjoyed going to the casinos and helped contribute to their profit margin over the years. Glen leaves behind his wife of 32 years, Mary Maxwell of Bridgeport; daughters Glenda (Maxwell) O’Brien and husband Kevin of Burleson, Texas, Malynda Weiland and Jeff of Weatherford, Georgie Thompson of San Antonio, Texas; sons Neil Maxwell and wife Norma of Weatherford, Texas, Mike O’Dea and wife Deannie of Bridgeport; sister Myrna Maxwell Brawner of Saint Jo, Texas; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Troy Wayne Maxwell. © (Hudson & Torres Family Funeral Home) ALL RIGHTS RESERVED.
