Obituary George Husted, 63, of Muir, passed away Friday evening April 17, 2020 at home under the loving care of his family and Ionia Area Hospice. George was born on December 19, 1956 in Ionia, the son of Richard and Helen (Thomas) Husted. He proudly graduated from Ionia High School with the Class of 1975. In his retirement years he enjoyed metal fabrication, cutting rocks and making jewelry. He had a big love of family and enjoyed owning and riding his Harley. He was a member of the Loyal Riders Motorcycle Club; North Plains Chapter and enjoyed the times spent riding and being with fellow club members. George is loved and survived by his wife Joy and step-children; Michael (Lynsey) Weesner of Ionia, Sherri Nichols of Tuscon, AZ, his grandchildren; Nathan, Nicole, Payton, Taylor, his sister; Vicky (Floyd) Goodwin of Ionia and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Thomas and two sisters: Maxine and Sandy. Due to the Covid-19 Virus a time to celebrate his life and accomplishments will be held later this summer. The date and time will be posted later at the website of the funeral home. Memorials may be given to Ionia Area Hospice. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
