George Kenneth Rechterman, 89 of Higginsville, Missouri passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2020, at his home in Higginsville, Missouri. Born Wednesday, October 29, 1930 in Higginsville, he was the son of the late Lewis Rechterman and the late Mildred Rechterman (Stoll). He was the husband of E. Jane Rechterman, marrying March 11, 1950 and she survives of the home. They were married 70 wonderful years. Kenneth graduated high school from Higginsville High in 1949. After high school he worked for Eagle Mill & Elevator Company until he started farming full-time in the early 60’s. He was a dairy farmer and row crop farmer until 1980. Kenneth also worked 17 years for Lafayette Manor as the head of maintenance. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Higginsville and enjoyed being a part of many activities over the years. He sang in the choir as well as being a church Deacon. He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Association and loved riding his motorcycle. Kenneth and Jane enjoyed many rides and local weekend trips on the motorcycle. Kenneth felt strongly about his final disposition and was very vocal about his wishes for anatomical donation. A public celebration of his life will be held at a later date when his cremains are returned to the family. Memorials may be made out to First Baptist Church and mailed to Hoefer Funeral Home 1600 Main St. Higginsville, MO 64037. Surviving are his wife, Jane of the home; four sons, Kenneth (Brenda) Rechterman of Higginsville, Tim (Linda) Rechterman of Higginsville, Marty (Donna) Rechterman of Victoria, TX and Wendell (Jonna) Rechterman of Higginsville; one daughter, Lori Johnson (Rechterman) of Lexington, MO; one sister, Dorothy Clinkbeard of Fort Myers, FL, 33 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Charles Rechterman.
