Buddy is the son of deceased parents Francis Joseph and Barbara Mildred (Spina) Heyman. He peacefully passed away surrounded virtually by his family’s voices of prayers, memories, laughter, stories, and loving sentiments. Buddy is survived by his loving daughter, Patricia Ann Heyman and cherished grandchildren Aiden Joseph Noey and Kaylee Ann Heyman of Port St. Lucie, FL. Buddy was predeceased by his daughter, Jamie Lee Heyman in 1989. Buddy is also survived by his beloved sisters and brothers-in-law, Barbara Jean (Dennis) Kolbinski of Saugerties, NY, and Elizabeth Ann “Beth” (Frank) Carpanzano of Stamford, CT, as well as his adoring nieces and nephews Francine (John) Thompson, Matthew (Nikkia) Kolbinski, Jacob Kolbinski, David (Carly) Kolbinski, Joel Kolbinski, Anne Marie Carpanzano and Marisa Carpanzano. Buddy is also survived by several great-nieces and a great-nephew. The love of Buddy’s life, Christine Cramsie-Smith of Delray Beach, FL, previously of Poughkeepsie, NY, where they first met, was his devoted fiancée. Together with her daughter, Danielle Smith, also of Delray Beach, and the extended Cramsie family, Christine lovingly cared for Buddy over the past several months. Buddy was born on August 25, 1957, in Mt. Kisco, NY. In his early childhood, Buddy lived in Bedford Hills, NY, until the family moved to Poughkeepsie, NY, in 1967. He graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School in Wappinger Falls, NY, and attended Dutchess Community College in Poughkeepsie. From the age of fourteen, Buddy enjoyed working on cars and immediately following college, he began a lifelong career in auto parts in the Poughkeepsie area as well as in the Stewart/Port St. Lucie area when he moved to Florida in 1995. Buddy was a dedicated, hard-working employee and manager for NAPA Auto Parts in Port St. Lucie for many years, treating his coworkers and customers with the utmost respect and a great sense of humor. Buddy was extremely knowledgeable in his field and could instantly recall the part number from memory for practically any auto part in the store. Buddy will be fondly remembered as a genuinely kind, extremely generous man who treated everyone like family. As a selfless person, Buddy always took care of others before thinking of himself and would “give you the shirt off his back” without a second thought. Buddy enjoyed fishing with his family, feeding the birds in his backyard every morning, We will miss Buddy’s innate sense of humor. Most of all, Buddy just loved being together with family and friends laughing and enjoying the moment! We are very grateful to have had Buddy in our lives and will hold him dearly in our hearts forever. At this time, funeral arrangements will be private. A memorial service to honor our dear father, grandfather, brother, uncle, fiancé, friend, and coworker will be announced at a later date.
