Fannie Franklin Hollis, born on January 15, 1947 in Amburgey, Kentucky passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2020. Fannie lived in Hazel Park, Michigan and was a cashier at 7-11 for over 20 years. She also worked as a care-giver for the elderly. She was a member of the Ferndale Free Methodist Church. Her parents were the late Watson and Eve Franklin. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Tommy Franklin, Douglas (Peggy) Franklin and Marvin Eugene Franklin; one sister, Billie Jean Franklin; one brother-in-law, Ralph Allen Buerkley; one son, Brian Keith Reynolds; and one son-in-law, Bruce Gregory Riches. Fannie is survived by her husband, Bobby Ray Hollis; daughter, Amanda Faith Riches Markin (Michael); brothers, Garland Phillip Franklin (Rosalee) and Edd Franklin; sisters, Emma Jean Buerkley, Dealy Ruth Gregory (Virgil) and Marie Hall (Donald Ray); sister-in-laws, Patricia Ann Franklin and Wanda Irene Franklin; grandchildren, Gregory Robert Riches (Stephanie), Ryan Allen Riches, James Anthony Deel, Corey Matthew Riches, Faith Elizabeth Riches, Josiah Nathaniel Markin, Anna Grace Markin, and Eliya Isabella Markin; one great-grandchild, Hayden James Deel and a whole host of nieces and nephews. Fannie honored, respected and loved her parents her entire life. Bobby Ray and Fannie had 47 years of love and dedication. She had a deep love for all her family. She greatly treasured them all. She cherished and enjoyed every child. She had a love and was devoted in taking care of the elderly. No person ever went hungry when Fannie was near. It was my mother’s desire that everyone Know Jesus. Fannie loved family and friends gathering together and taking care of one another. When visiting is allowed again, please get together and share a memory of Fannie with one another.
