Evelyn M. (Keil) Bauer, 97, of Evansville, passed away Monday, April 27, 2020 at her home. She was born January 29, 1923 in Evansville, IN to the late Henry and Mary (Ruegg) Keil. Evelyn was a music teacher and truly enjoyed the years that she taught piano and organ, retiring when she was 90 years old. She also played piano on several radio shows in the 1930’s and 1940’s. She was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church and several music organizations. She loved music, but most of all she loved her family and friends that came to visit. Evelyn is survived by her sons, Randy (Joan) Bauer and Gary (Cindy) Bauer; grandchildren, Angela (Clint) Mullenix, Leanne (Wesley) Rees, Mark (Melissa) Bauer, Kimberly (Nick) Jureczki, Seth (Erin) Bauer, Nathan (Emily) Bauer and Jessica (Matt) Schulte; and her great grandchildren, Austin Mullenix, Caleb Mullenix, Chloe Mullenix, Nolan Johnson, Brady Johnson, Faith Rees, Levi Jureczki, Jace Jureczki, William Bauer, Stella Bauer, Aiden Bauer, Reagan Bauer, Elzer Bauer and Nora Schulte. In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Bauer; brother, Charles Keil; and sister, Mildred Schnute. Due to the current pandemic, services will be private at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Arrangements are being handled by Ziemer Funeral Home North Chapel, 6300 N. First Avenue. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Mausoleum. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Redeemer St. Vincent De Paul Society, 918 W. Mill Road, Evansville, IN 47710.
