Emery’s Obituary Emery Lee King, 79, of Salem, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, April 24, 2020 in Salem, Arkansas. Emery was born September 9, 1940 to the late Rowland Curzy King and Margaret Louise (Bosworth) King in Salem, Arkansas. Emery was united in marriage to Mary Rowena Gibson. Emery worked as a manager at Short’s Hardware and Aid True Value in Salem, Arkansas and Graves Automotive in Ontario, California for many years. Emery was a very caring and loving person who loved his family very much. He enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels and was of the Christian faith. He was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. Emery is survived by his two daughters, Brenda Jackson (Greg) of Salem, Arkansas and Lori King (Frank Etheridge) of Viola, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Jacob Smith (Kathy), Lindsey Coursey (Rickey), Zach Smith, Kendra McGinnis (Kevin), and Nea Hugo (Nick); ten great grandchildren; brother, Charles King of Pasco, Washington; sister, Peggy Blake (Bob) of Sterling, Colorado; many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife (Rowena), grandson (Seth Marley), and parents. Memorial services will be at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Paragould’s Children’s Home in Paragould, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Barker Funeral Home in Salem, Arkansas. Read More
