Mr. Edwin “Eddie” Hargrove, age 80, of Eastman departed this world for Heaven April 13, 2020 at Serenity Place in Dublin after a long battle with cancer. Due to CDC recommendations a private graveside service will be at 11 am. Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at Woodlawn Cemetery. Although the service is private it will be Live Streamed on Facebook. Mr. Hargrove was born November 8, 1939 in Telfair County to the late Oree Mason Hargrove and Spurgeon Hargrove. He was a devoted member and deacon at Lovely Grove Baptist Church. He was a graduate of ABAC and had several jobs throughout his life with farming topping the list. He continued to garden after retirement. He was an avid train enthusiast and woodworker. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family, especially with his grandson and great grandson. He is survived by his wife, Jo Hargrove; daughters, Sherry Jones (Jack) and Peggy Ann Clem (Mitch); son Ricky Hargrove (Stefanie); step-daughter, Brenda Parr; grandchildren, Mandy White (Jack), Travis Clem (Kelli), Brandy Clem, Virginia Hargrove, Wyatt Hargrove, and Kale Dunn; several great and great great grandchildren as well as pets, Millie and Tara. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his first wife, Nathalee Higginbotham Hargrove; step-daughter, Dale Gilbert; step granddaughter, Delisa Crawford and step grandson, Kaylin Smith. He was extremely fond of his deceased aunt, Audrey Cofield and uncles, Brick Mason and Bobby Mason. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lovely Grove Baptist Church Building Fund, 877 Lovely Grove Church Rd., Eastman, Ga. 31023.
