Obituary On Saturday, April 11, Dominic James Locatelli much-loved husband and father passed peacefully at the age of 91. Dom was born on February 9, 1929 and raised in Yonkers, New York. He studied carpentry and building at Saunders High School and played basketball. Upon graduation, Dom worked with family as a carpenter and builder. Dom served in the Army during the Korean War where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. In May 17, 1952, he married Florence Morelli and they raised 4 daughters. In 1959 he joined the Westchester County Parkway Police and served there until his retirement in 1979. After he retired, Dom and Florence moved to Northville, New York where he was the Town of Edinburgh Building Inspector for many years. Dom loved sports, fishing, gardening and birding. He also kept his love for building and was the designer and builder for 4 family homes. Dom’s greatest love was for his family. His kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness extended to all. Everyone who met him, loved him. His fun-loving spirit and wit made him a favorite of adults and children alike. Dom was preceded in death by his father, Carlos and his mother, Rose, his sister Anna Luisi and four brothers, Sylviano, Anthony, Serafino and Luciano. He also suffered through the loss of his youngest daughter, Jodi Ann in 2004 after a long illness. He is survived by his wife, Florence and his daughters Margaret Robbins and Lisa Locatelli; six grandchildren, Phillip, Matthew, Timothy, Richard, Theresa and Kymberlee and two great granddaughters, Madelyn and Vivian.
