Dianna Lynn Cumpton, age 63 of Butler, Missouri died Monday, March 23, 2020 at her home in Butler. She was born June 6, 1956 to William and Frances Josephine Spayhowa Light in Bakersfield, California. Dianna grew up in Bakersfield for the first 12 years of her life. She then moved to Butler where she attended Butler High School. Dianna first worked at Thorco in Butler. She later worked as a lab technician and helped with lab tests at a horse barn–which she loved. Dianna was a “jack of all trades” and could do just about anything. She enjoyed horseback riding, gardening, traveling, fishing, hunting, raising dogs and visiting with family and friends. She would go out of her way to help anyone. Dianna is survived by her mother, Frances Light of Butler, Missouri; daughter, Jami Chastain of Butler, Missouri; special daughters, Jenny Wainscott and husband Danny of Butler, Missouri; Shannon Burkes and husband Carl of Adrian, Missouri and their son Bryant; daughter Stephani Parker of Wichita, Kansas and six grandchildren; one son, Daniel Chastain II of Butler, Missouri; special grandchildren, Kody, Kyla and Kara; great-granddaughter, Ava; brother, Donald Light and wife Lynn of Ballard, Missouri and their son Jake; and one sister, Donna Light of Chetopa, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her father, William R. “Bill” Light; and one brother, Danny Light.
