Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Sarah Meekins Sterling and the late Delmont Yingling. Dennis was a veteran of the US Army, and retired from A&P Bakery. He is survived by his daughters, Linda Yingling Krepp (Tim), of Rosedale, MD, and Pam Yingling of Lugoff; grandchildren, Sarah Game, Joshua Game, Dymetri Ingram, William Short, Mathew Short, and Lauren Dyer; and great-grandchildren, Easton Game, Lexii Ellingson, Lacii Ellingson, Lilli Ellingson, Tessa Short, and Dani Short. Dennis was predeceased by his wife, Patricia Warfield Yingling. Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is assisting the family.
