Obituary of Conchita Gonzalez Concepcion “Conchita” Gonzalez, 77, of Houston passed away Tuesday, March 31, 2020. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Gonzalez and Josefina Leon de Gonzalez; brother, Eladio Gonzalez and sister, Mercedes Gonzalez. Left to cherish her memory are her loving daughters, Carmen Marshall and husband, J. D.; Cristina Lozano and husband, Armando; Silvia Sahagun and husband, Nicolas; Ana Sahagun and husband, Manuel, Luisa Gonzalez and husband, Sergio Garcia; brothers, Pedro Gonzalez and wife, Beatriz; Jesus Gonzalez and wife, Ana María; Refugio Gonzalez and wife, Mari Paz; sister, Porfiria Rubio and husband, Ernesto and Susana Gonzalez; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Conchita grew up in the small town of Atotonilco el Bajo, Jalisco, Mexico where everyone knew one another and remained close throughout their lives. Family was extremely important to her and she cherished having everyone together for special occasions and holidays. Conchita was an amazing cook and loved sharing her favorite recipes with friends and family. Her specialty was definitely tamales. Conchita had a tradition of every New Years Eve she would take her luggage and go outside onto the street in hopes that it would bring her great travels over the course of the year. She loved traveling and visiting family all over. She enjoyed going shopping with Cristina and watching her favorite telenovela on the television. No one was allowed to interrupt her shows. She was strong in her faith and was an active member of her church. Conchita will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
