Colleen P. Dye of Cortland passed away on Easter Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the age of 62. Colleen was born on January 9, 1958 in Passaic, N.J., a daughter of the late George and Margaret Cooke. Colleen worked part time receptionist jobs until 2003 when she opened Dye Lot Quilting, until 2011 when the business closed. Colleen adored her grandchildren and had a passion for quilting. Over the years she had been active in Pumpkinfest, S.P.C.A. Relay for Life and Loaves & Fishes as well as activities with Randall and Virgil Schools. Colleen leaves behind her husband of 38 years, Kenneth Dye; her daughters; Kristen (Thomas) Gregory, Kelly (Daniel Wood) Dye and Kacey (Rusty) Weeks; her brother; George Cooke of Seaside Heights, N.J. , sisters; Sandra Maglio of Beach Haven West, N.J., and Nancy (William) Leonard of Willseyville; her grandchildren; Kollin Rae, Rhett, Isaiah, Khia, Julia and Ziggy; four nephews and one niece. In addition she leaves behind 2 cats and 2 dogs. The family would like to thank Dr. Malakar, the nurses and staff on 2 South and ICU, Lori Wilson, Mary Wright and Toni Murdough at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center. At this time services are being postponed and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Riccardi Funeral Home, Cortland, N.Y.
