Obituary ETTERS – Christine H. (Gocht) Dziewior, 93, passed away Sunday, April 12, 2020 at UPMC Pinnacle Harrisburg. Born February 12, 1927 in Waltersdorf, East Germany, a daughter of the late Erich Gocht and Helene Anna (Kramer) Gocht; she immigrated from East Germany to West Germany and then to the United States, with her brother serving as her sponsor. She resided in Philadelphia from 1957 to 1995, and then moved to Central Pennsylvania, where she remained till her passing. After coming to the United States, Mrs. Dziewior trained as a wig maker at Anthony Bach Co. and later worked for Tonia’s Wig Salon, both in Philadelphia. She enjoyed her hair work, as she called it, but her real love was for horses. She had horses throughout her life for riding and driving in her younger years, and raised miniature horses before she stopped in 2004. She also enjoyed gardening and planting, and anything to do with nature. When asked of her religion, she would simply say that she believes in nature. Mrs. Dziewior is survived by a son, Karl Christopher and wife Jane Louise Dziewior of Etters; two grandchildren, Xylla Zea Dziewior of New Castle, DE and Kaydon Cort Dziewior of Lemoyne; and a nephew, Hans Gerry Gocht of Philadelphia. She was preceded in death by her brother, Hans Joachim Gocht. Tribute services will be private. Beaver Urich Funeral Home, Inc., 305 West Front Street, Lewisberry is in charge of arrangements.
