Cecilia’s Obituary Cecilia Ann Wilson, 88, a resident of North Plains, passed away on April 17, 2020. Cecilia was born on November 15, 1931 in Edina,MO to parents Clem and Mary (McCloskey) Kriegshauser. As one of five siblings, she was raised in Baring, MO and attended Baring High School,graduating with the Class of 1949. Affectionately known to friends and family as “Ann,” she worked at the post office and grocery store in Baring before meeting her husband, Charles Wilson,at a local dance. They soon began dating and married on September 15, 1952 in Baring, MO before following Charles’ career in the U.S. Navy to Hawaii, California, Japan and Hillsboro, OR. Ann was a loving mother to her three children: Catherine, Larry and Jim.The family settled in Hillsboro near the end of Charles’ Navy career, where she worked outside the home as a clerk for the local video store and could be found making homemade jams and chocolates, tending to her beautiful rose garden, watching Jeopardy, or reading romance novels. She was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church, where she often volunteered for the annual tea luncheon.She’ll be remembered for her love of all things lemon-flavored, as well as her devotion to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who all called her “Grammy.” She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, her parents, and three siblings; Jim Kriegshauser, Alice Bruegenkempke and Mary Lang. She is survived by her three children and their spouses;Cathy (Don), Larry (Cheri), and Jim, her 7 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Recitation of the Holy Rosary and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at a later date. Burial will take place at St. Edward Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be placed in Ann’s name to St. Edward Catholic Church or Providence Hospice. Read More
