Obituary Catherine C. Kalbaugh, 77, of LaVale, passed away Thursday, April 9, 2020 at UPMC Western Maryland. Born November 19, 1942 in Frostburg, to Edward and Ruth (Neilson) Capel. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Lee Kalbaugh in 1997; two brothers, Edward R. Capel and Stanley E. Capel, one sister, Wilma D. (Capel) Richards. She is the last surviving member of her immediate family. Mrs. Kalbaugh was a member of St. John Episcopal church. Surviving are her sons, Jerry Lee Kalbaugh, Jr. and wife Beverly of Hughesville, MD and David S. Kalbaugh and wife Stephanie, New Albany, IN; four grandchildren, David Lee Kalbaugh and wife Stephanie, Chelsea Mayberry and husband Daniel, Kayla Parsley and Austin Parsley; and three great grandchildren. A private family funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, Frostburg with Rev. Karen Crosby officiating. Interment will be in MSVC Rocky Gap.
